Transportation: There is regular public transportion connecting Bourgas, Pomorie, Nessebar and Sunny Beach. Similar to other seaside resorts during the peak season, there are a lot of private taxi cabs and minibuses at competitive prices as well. Besides regular water transport to Bourgas, one can often take a boat trip and visit places along the bay.
Surrounding areas: The village of Ravda is situated south of Nessebur and a sand strip connects both. There are melon fields, vineyards and orchards near the village where you can buy organic, home grown products at low prices. There are numerous youth camps, holiday houses and private lodgings.
The village of Aheloy is situated on the motorway to Bourgas near the lagoon of the Aheloy River. This is where the Bulgarian King Simeon I destroyed the armies of the Byzantine emperor Lion Foka in the area now called Kokalos because of the scattered bones of the dead soldiers.Назад
